The insects reeing in the background are cicadas and they can get insanely loud! I noticed them constantly in #MyIDIsGangnamBeauty
Yes, King Sejong invented the #hangul alphabet. Prior to its introduction in 1433, writing was done in the Chinese style. His lovely statue in Seoul is very eye-catching. The need to learn more culture has driven me to learn a lot of language over the last 6 months. #korean #kdrama #LangaugeLearning -

Day 21: a drama that was better than expected

A show where the female protagonist was completely "rebuilt" through plastic surgery adapting to university life. This show was interesting on a lot of different levels. Her relationships with her parents and former classmates are dramatically impacted. There are a lot of scenes and characters from this show that keep intriguing me, well after I finished watching it. -

A slower-paced college drama with a love triangle & a seemingly evil "friend" trying to ruin other's relationships. As the characters develop more self-confidence, a sweet romance begins. We see awful characters that judge everyone by appearance.
We never see the face of the FL when she thought she was ugly. She was judging herself that way. The family situations were also interesting & gave another viewpoint on beauty & talent.
