I washes up, I cleans da pits of Numbers 1 & 2.
I cleans der room of bath / baaths or bafs & I survive the gauntlet of putting wheelie out.Most adulting done for the day 😎.
Now can I finally find somethings to watch for when treadmilling & may...be even finally get myself on the damned treadmill before tea?... 🤔

Made it into the outdoors (not to be confused with the great outdoors that is away from the urban jungle, or whatever people call it these days) 😎☀️.Feels good to have finally dumped a load of oversized cardboard & dead or dying electricals at the tip (where everything is sorted for possible recycling) Only taken me 2 months 😅 ... 😇🥳.
Combined that with a shopping trip which, during planning started as, get a few things & petrol from supermarket A but ended up in a big shop across supermarkets A, B & C.
Got home, unpacked, got back into loafing gear & had a late lunch (I still can't get the hang of mornings 😬) before tackling some bathroom cleaning I'd been putting off & fixed the WC seat as it was getting close to, (channelling Scotty for Star Trek:) 'she caen'a take no mar Capta'n!'. It's resecured & the new countdown to becoming un/insecure can begin.
As the saying goes, strike while you still have hold of that last ruddy spoon.
Feeling pretty good about getting that lot done. Would have liked to have done it 2 or 3 hours earlier but for now I'm happy with it.
Off to do a bit of reading before grabbing some tea, just have to resist grabbing some nibbles until then 😂.

Whew. Today I did a lot...
1) had an appointment with a new doc who wagged her finger at me about my weight and my blood pressure.
2) paid a $1600 deposit to my realtor
3) paid a $500 inspection fee to have my potential new home inspected
4) paid a $750 appraisal fee to the mortgage company.Oy. I'll be glad when I'm moved into the new place, Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

So, a rundown on my day...
Dropped the car at the garage.
On pins & needles most of the morning, anxious over what may be required.
Find out it's not that bad, feel fairly silly.
Get the call it's ready.
I spent $150 on Lyft, going to and from the garage. That bites. It's nowhere near home but it's the best garage in town for VWs.
The car needed new brakes and two new tires. The heat has never worked and it turns out the heater core is gummed up with sludge from the coolant tank, which apparently is something that happens with some VWs these days. Meaning it will require flushing from time to time. The bill was fairly reasonable all considered, and I plan to go back for an oil change. They were very pleasant and attentive.
Go home; go to take a "quick nap" and I am HARD ASLEEP like it takes me forever to rouse out of it. I think that was mainly a stress-crash.
Now I'm wobbly, still a bit sleepy, and kinda hungry but no energy to cook. UGH.

I've been through so many traumatic events in my life that I can't even put them into words. 2020 was a dream year compared to 2023 and 2024. This year has been one of recovery in many ways.
A telling example is that this week, from Monday to Friday, was nearly perfect. I felt fine, and current events are going well, considering the circumstances. But on Friday, when I finally got off work and was supposed to relax, I fell into a deep mental pit. At 3am, I woke up in the midst of a pretty bad panic attack. My autonomic nervous system was in a state of shock.
Today, I feel somewhat baffled by all this. I know I can cope - and I will thrive. This too shall pass; it will just take time, perhaps months or years. This too makes me stronger.

So, today I started off with a chocolate croissant from the bakery, then up to Gunpowder Falls State Park's Sweet Air area for a walk in the woods. Never been there before, and I really liked it, so I'll definitely go back. I didn't walk a huge amount of time, but I made sure I was outside for an hour.
Drove into Pennsylvania, lunched at a Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant I'd never been to before, drove down the old Lincoln Highway a bit into Gettysburg, then cut south, went thru a covered bridge, then climbed up to Pen Mar Park, where the views are spectacular. Then I wended my way home.
It was a gorgeous day, the car performed beautifully, I feel my stress-loads lightened, and I got sunburned. Oh well.

Schön, wenn es nach der nachmittäglichen Hitze, während der Radfahrt langsam kühler wird.
Heute wartete ich wieder, bis die grösste Hitze vorbei war und startete dann lediglich noch zu einer kurzen Runde. Um das Birrfeld, entlang der Autobahn, unter der neuen SBB-Unterführung hindurch.

Wieder einmal im Schwarzwald unterwegs. Diesmal aber grösstenteils auf mir noch unbekannten Strassen.
Heute beschäftigte ich mich nochmals mit dem Aufsuchen von Kacheln. Ich finde es aber auch schön, immer wieder durch andere Gegenden zu fahren. Dass ich dabei vielleicht etwas Neues entdecke ist ja auch eine schöne Nebenerscheinung.
