Auf dem Mobile World Congress haben wir u.a. mit einem Demonstrator die Herausforderungen von Fernidentifikationssystemen wie Video-Ident greifbar gemacht. Dazu braucht man auch einen Ausweis, der auf Basis des Kamerabildes auf Echtheit überprüft wird. Gelingt es Angreifern, das Videosignal, welches an ein Fernidentifikationsverfahren geschickt wird, zu verändern, können sie alle visuell sichtbaren Sicherheitsfeatures in Echtzeit fälschen.
