Nur aus Neugier.
Sehr oft, eigentlich fast immer, werden Wortbeitragsvideos mit imho sinnlosem/r Hintergrundsound/-muzak unterlegt.
Bin ich der Einzige den das komplett *nervt*, auch wenn der Content noch zu verstehen ist?
Sehe einfach null Sinn darin.
Also Umfrage:

@cmccullough I'm not close to anyone in the FIRE movement. Good acronym, as they seem content with wiring the infrastructure that extracts the equity out of everyone else's hard work, transferring the spoils of entire industries to those setting them on fire.
I just know those that have squirrelled enough away to buy a pickup and a camper. Stopping here or there for a shower/shave and checking on the PO Box from time to time.

"For more than a year, I devoted myself to answering these questions. I spoke with former employees, reviewed internal Spotify records and company Slack messages, and interviewed and corresponded with numerous musicians. What I uncovered was an elaborate internal program. Spotify, I discovered, not only has partnerships with a web of production companies, which, as one former employee put it, provide Spotify with “music we benefited from financially,” but also a team of employees working to seed these tracks on playlists across the platform. In doing so, they are effectively working to grow the percentage of total streams of music that is cheaper for the platform. The program’s name: Perfect Fit Content (PFC). The PFC program raises troubling prospects for working musicians. Some face the possibility of losing out on crucial income by having their tracks passed over for playlist placement or replaced in favor of PFC; others, who record PFC music themselves, must often give up control of certain royalty rights that, if a track becomes popular, could be highly lucrative. But it also raises worrying questions for all of us who listen to music. It puts forth an image of a future in which—as streaming services push music further into the background, and normalize anonymous, low-cost playlist filler—the relationship between listener and artist might be severed completely."

Min kone kom forbi og konstaterede tørt: jamen du hørte jo Roben & Knud da du var ung og dum. Og hun har jo ret - hver generation har sin pøbel pleaser fra laveste hylde.....og nu kan jeg så ikke få alle de gode gamle Roben og Knud sange ud af hovedet

Der Abend des World Radio Days ist eine gute Gelegenheit, um auf die in dieser Woche ausstrahlende neue Radio-Produktion des Wiener Radia Kollektivs aufmerksam zu machen. Barbara Huber, Barbara Kaiser und Karl Schönswetter haben die 933. Sendung des radia.fm Netzwerks „LOOP liminal“ produziert, welche diese Woche am DO um 15h auf der Welle von Radio Orange 94.0, oder im Laufe der Woche auf allen Radio-Stationen des radia.fm-Netzwerkes gesendet werden wird.
Die Sendung LOOP liminal versucht, eine akustische Entsprechung für einen liminalen Raum zu kreieren. Bei der gemeinsamen Diskussion (auch mit Lale Rodgarkia-Dara & Peter Wetzelsberger) zündete die Idee, diese Entsprechung in einer Radiosendung herauszuarbeiten, die eine Telefonschleife mimt. Die Sendungsbeschreibung dazu bringt es gut auf den Punkt:
In our search for an acoustic equivalent of a liminal space, we found it in the sound aesthetics of waiting loops. The dissolution of time into emotion throws the listeners back on themselves, on their own acoustic equivalent of a liminal space in the sound aesthetics of a waiting loop. The dissolution of emotion into time does not take place. Press „0“ if you want to be forwarded, press „1“ if you like to wait in the queue. If there is no input, you are automatically forwarded.
Das Ergebnis ist eine 28 Minuten lange Endlosschleife im virtuellen Callcenter von radia.fm, in vier Sprachen und vielen verschiedenen durchgespielten Optionen und verzweifelten Sackgassen. Die Sendung nervt schon nach 5 Minuten, nach 10 Minuten wird es unerträglich (dafür sorgt auch die wunderbare Muzak von brrr) und nach 20 Minuten befindet man sich im erhöhten Bewusstseinszustand des LIMINALEN.

DO, 16. Feb. 2023, 15:00 auf 94.0 MHz im Raum Wien.
