    I'll be at the #MustardSeed distribution HQ kitchen, on Saturday, for the Lifecycles Project Society fruits chopping work party.
    Out on the salt marshes at Gorge Park with Peninsula Streams Society for a rewilding planting work party, on Sunday.
    Back at LifeCycles HQ for fruits sorting & volunteers' portraits/interviews, next Tuesday.
    I am documenting a fruit pick on Halloween day. It's also the last day for Hannah, one of our seasonal worker superstars. I'll miss her!

    I wonder if the mustard seed parable (see Luke 13:18-21) is Jesus' version of self-deprecating humor...
    The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. When it is fully grown it becomes a "large bush" ... not a stately redwood tree or a robust oak, but a "bush."
    And look at this picture that I downloaded from Unsplash. An azalea is more of a proper bush IMHO. Mustard just looks like a plant...
    Anyhow. The point that I take is that God works amazing things in and through his disciples—but we're still a scraggly bunch—beautiful, and potently flavorful in our own ways, but still scraggly.
