Tim reapers sfs | in vain selected tracks
This collection of tracks from sfs and in vain is a beautiful approach to dubstep and bass music as a whole. These albums are deeply personal and you see it, created in a troubling time of great instability and change Tim Reaper managed to put his feelings into these tunes ranging from hope/joyful to grieving. (I recommend reading the caption of the in vain album for more context)
I feel like this is a big appeal of the album for me, it sits at an intersection between a club and a human telling personal stories making this very intimate and mostly not so suited for the club, but more so for private listening

very cool rare vinyl find today! Jasper Wrath's self titled 1971 album. it's really groovy, cerebral listen, and the first half of the album has a lot of tracks that experiment with folk sounds (there are a few really amazing flute solos). 2nd half of the album is more pure prog. my favorite track is called "Odyssey" (there's a lot of really hypnotic harmonizing on this track...fun 12 minute trip). give this underrated prog album a listen if you're into this genre or just want to listen to different music

I'm kind of a bad fan when it comes to music and probably other things. I don't keep up with things very closely.
I really enjoyed The Avalanches album Since I Left You but I didn't notice when they released We Will Always Love You. Seige wrote a post or series of posts about it. I can't find the posts to save my life, sorry; the gist as I remember it is that the album is about loss and those who are left behind.
It's been regularly in my rotation since then.
At this exact moment, Wherever You Go is my favorite track on the album.
