The ‘Analog Warmth’ of Vinyl Has Been Mostly Digital Since the ’80s, Says Sound Engineer | Headphonesty
I'm not giving up on a pure analog signal path, but this confirms my worst fear:
"The shift to digital processing in vinyl production began in 1979 when Ampex released their ADD-1 Digital Delay. This device, built specifically for vinyl cutting, soon became standard equipment in mastering studios across the globe."
They cite one and only one at-time-of-writing holdout; there must be more!

Live Music Journal #853- the drunk girl last night who asked if we know any Brittany Spears. When told no, whined ‘what about Mariah Carey?’ I let Derek handle that one. #musicianslife #livemusic

Listen. I'm ok. Really. For my amazing band of musicians, this is just another day's work, accelerating early career stuff, but for way-elder me, this is not just "among the Last Times", this is a dream come true, 10am tomorrow truck downtown to record MY band, at fucking ska-legend Kensington Sound where I studied studio engineering 45 years ago, and record ON THAT SAME 100% ANALOG GEAR, recording these amazing (grammy-class) kids'n'me in basically Rudy Gelder BlueNote style: set 'em up, roll 'em Jimmy, and knock 'em down, two count 'em two takes, Di-rect to Revox reels that I get to hold in my hands and take home. O. M. F. G.
Someone pinch me.

Most just nervously laugh.

“No artist is ever truly ‘solo.’ Behind every ‘solo act’ is a hidden band: managers, producers, engineers. You’re never really alone.”

Der Winter ist vergangen,
ich seh des Maien Schein,
ich seh die Blümlein prangen,
des ist mein Herz erfreut.

da ist gar lustig sein,

Those who strive to, as they say themselves, 'be in the moment' express "clarity of mind" as a symptom. As musicians we aren't just 'keeping time', although that seems to be a powerful tool, ideally we are keeping REAL-time, everyone is, there, 'in the moment' and it "feels good" because of the clarity of mind.
"Dance first. Think later. It's the natural order." — Samuel Beckett
