For my amazing band of musicians, this is just another day's work, accelerating early career stuff, but for way-elder me, this is not just "among the Last Times", this is a dream come true, 10am tomorrow truck downtown to record MY band, at fucking ska-legend Kensington Sound where I studied studio engineering 45 years ago, and record ON THAT SAME 100% ANALOG GEAR, recording these amazing (grammy-class) kids'n'me in basically Rudy Gelder BlueNote style: set 'em up, roll 'em Jimmy, and knock 'em down, two count 'em two takes, Di-rect to Revox reels that I get to hold in my hands and take home. Also, just as a thing, the Enya Nova Go Carbon Fiber Smart Guitar works really effing well as a recording instrument. I'm actually really impressed.

Love this thing for just sitting around and jamming. It hardly ever needs tuning, doesn't freak out during climate changes, and the built-in effects are not bad for what they are. Get in there and do some tinkering with their app and you can actually pull some cool sounds out.

But I didn't expect I'd love it so much for recording. Been having a blast feeding it into Guitar Rig 7.

If you got 300 bucks laying around and want a solid and durible travel guitar that also works well as a recording instrument, seriously give this thing a try. You won't regret it.

Most of the time, we think that musicians and artists can be a bit... clumsy with their finances. And this can be true, but I stumbled across this great channel with a financial advisor (and composer as well), who helps people with their budgeting and debts. It's very american, but extremely entertaining and informative. I aspire to become a bit better with my private finances, and this definitely helps me to keep motivated!
