Another test of Meta's #MusicGen model. The simplest, dumbest test of multitrack music creation by a non-musician/non-audio technician. I started with a melody at 80 BPM. Added a beat at 80 BPM. Then used the Melody model to add five more tracks to accompany the melody.
So, basically just throwing spaghetti at the wall. I would love to see what a musician could make.

#MusicGen passes the BPM test. Today I'm trying to evaluate the AI model with the ear of a musician. #ChatGPT is helping me in that regard figure out what a musician might ask from a program that spits out 30-second samples.
I've asked for several different BPMs in the prompt, and it came out right each time.

More AI generated music. I'm trying to be restrained and only upload the tracks that I absolutely love. It's hard, though, because it keeps coming up with such an interesting variety. This one starts slow, but the drum beat at five seconds in would make a great sample for remixing.

Cool. I can now make 30 second snippets of AI generated music on my home PC with Meta's #MusicGen app. This was using the small model. Next I need to see if I can run the large model.
