Tunes that didn't make it into #RadioIrrtum,
specifically not into the upcoming show (this Saturday - will be announced Saturday morning), for various reasons, but mostly because I only have exactly 59:30min for the whole show…
So here comes
- Metamatics: Fizzy Dollar (Album: Spook Tinsel Shoal)
https://metamatics.bandcamp.com/track/fizzy-dollar
Metamatics, the UK based guy released no less than stunning 4 albums this August alone (!). You may wonder if this isn't at the cost of overall quality? Well, his #IDM tracks are sometimes kinda repetitive, however - this isn't uncommon in this genre.
But what blows me away is that he - at least in some of his tracks - manages to squeeze some serious funkiness into his glitches! That's kinda unique and his example track "Fizzy Dollar" is demonstrating this nicely.
