Now That's What I Call...
A good start of the day! π
Just arrived and ready to unpack two CDs of Frank Zappa.
πΏ Zappa - Imaginary Diseases
πΏ Zappa - Little Dots
Supposed those are recordings from the time of Great - #PettiteWazoo published now on CD quality.
This is one of my favourite eras from Zappa and "kind of" completes my wazoo collection π π§

I'm a little worried
I just made my very first purchase on Discogs. I found a very rare Black Metal vinyl that I really want for my collection.
Just hoping I donβt get scammedβ¦ Letβs see if Discogs turns out to be a good place to buy music

Dark Night!
A now-defunct Brazilian band with a powerful sound and unique voice that reminds me of King Diamond and Merciful Fate!
Planning to add their CDs to my collection soon!

I collect music since almost 40 years and until now I'm facing problems with my precious music collection: two CDs from 1988 and 1989 are rotten now. But funny to see some from early 1980's are still neat and playable!
Wish some CDrs I made since 20+ years ago could last longer, especially those burned ones from albums now OOP or hard-to-find today!

Spent my Monday morning out thrift store hunting. Came back with over 60 CDs. All priced from 49 cents to $1.
Now home putting them in to Discogs and ripping them to my NAS. :YuriSunglasses:

I'm just impressed...
That cassette tape was made in 1962, been held with care in the collection. And right now I play it and sounds so good, like new. Not like the ones made in the 1990's that are now worn out.

Es ist jetzt nicht so, dass ich Schulterklopfen oder Bewunderung dafΓΌr verlange, aber ich mΓΆchte schon erwΓ€hnen, dass ich auf dieser Reise nur eine #Schallplatte gekauft habe! π #justsaying #vinyl #records #MusicCollector
Just bidded and decided to forget it, I was expecting to lose that auction just because that CD is so pursued by collectors. Was a big surprise to see that notification! No one else bidded besides me!
Waiting now!

I'm impressed...
I have that cassette tape since my high school's days.
Reinforced with 3M tape and kinda wornout. But still playable and so good sound.
34 years in my collection and full of memories as a teenager...

2024 will be the year of the Minidisc in my hobby.
After finding out so many records I couldn't buy due of vulgar overprices I plan to buy a lot of blank minidiscs and a deck to create a different collection!

I thought that was just me... what I said for myself before: "I know how many records I do have, however I feel I did not get the most I want". Then I saw that image.
But 2024 will be the year to break my 34 years curse!
To millenials and Z gen:
Don't worry... don't buy CDs. You don't need them. Use #Spotify, #Deezer, #AppleMusic, #Youtube or any #streaming platform. π
Trust me, I know why I ask that.
