Glad to see Bob Cohen, an American-born writer and musician long resident in #Budapest, driving force behind Di Naye Kapelye, writing about reviving his once-mighty blog. His writing about hole in the wall eateries in New Jersey, geriatric fiddlers in Transylvania, and whatever else in between was always so unique.
And may I add that he always generously gives of his time and knowledge to any young #klezmer musicians passing through Hungary.

I’ve been doing outreach to #musicblogs this week, pitching a press kit about my new #album release on 02 Dec.

there are a shocking number of blogs out there operating as pay-for-coverage—charging #artists to submit and/or review their #music.

it’s—sadly—a massive part of “the music industry” & it’s gross: a whole bunch of middle-people, sucking out value from artists, exploiting hopes & dreams.

I just won’t participate in that, & having decided affirmatively not to feels great to my spirit.
