Well, this is random!
I use Music Bee for my music library on my PC and I've got a tab in it called Now Playing which I don't use, but just clicked on it. So, I'm currently playing Ferry 'Cross The Mersey by The Christians, Holly Johnson, Paul McCartney, Gerry Marsden & Stock Aitken Waterman. It has some blurb about The Christians, which makes sense... but why the hell is there a big picture of Peppa Pig‽ 😆

I will found a new culture among the stars based partly on the contents of my Music Library

Вчерась случилась какая-то #НЁХ: #ВНЕЗАПНО! тотально отвалился коннект по 443 порту у некоторых приложух: #MusicBee перестал скробблить на #LastFM; #ЯндексМузыка говорила «Нет соединения с сетью»; #Microsoft Store не открывался (не то чтобы я им пользуюсь, просто факт).

...Установил-таки обновки венде, которые она уже полгода просит, и всио заработало.

Anyone here using Linux and MusicBee (under WINE)? You can now control MusicBee via MPRIS with a plugin for MusicBee + a bridging app, so you can get media controls even through WINE.
Only thing from my testing is that the seek sometimes gets stuck, and you need to access your music directly (via the Z:\ drive that basically maps to your Linux file system) to get cover art, but other than that, it honestly works really well.

Read a blog post from the lead developer of Zen Browser, and he doesn't shy away from the fact that what he wanted in a browser was basically just Arc.
Honestly, it kinda motivates me to try and have a crack at making my own MusicBee, any way I can. I love a lot of what MusicBee does, but lament the fact it's stuck to Windows. Fuck I might even learn Rust to do it lmao.

В очередной раз, взглянув в колонку «Биография исполнителя» в #musicbee, где были перечислены 12 групп, называющихся Asphyxia 😉 задумался, а бывает ли хуже?..
Беглый рисёч (#DeepSeek выдал наиболее адекватный ответ) показал, что 12 — это вообще не предел: у нас есть, например, 31 Necrosis, 42 Requiem'а, это если брать названия из одного слова.
Словосочетания добавляют простора фантазии: ** * Chaos * ** — 588 (!) исполнителей, причем повторяться умудряются даже в сочетаниях из двух слов: Chaos Theory, Eternal Chaos — существуют в 4 инкарнациях 😉
Кто-нибудь, объясните им 😆

Oh yeah, I released version 1.1 of my MusicBee plugin, mb_MusicBrainzSync, recently!
You can now export and import your settings, useful if you dualboot Windows and Linux (yes, this plugin does work because WINE handles .NET Framework pretty well nowadays) - retrieval of ratings are on their way for 1.2

Managed to update my MusicBee MusicBrainz plugin for once lmao. A lot of the hold-up was me agonising over how to go about the OS problem (I use Linux mainly), and I just went "fucking dualboot it, fucking whatever".
The virtual machine situation for Windows guests on Linux hosts is fucking dire - VMware doesn't support Wayland, VirtualBox fucking crashes on me when I enable GPU acceleration, KVM/QEMU doesn't have GPU acceleration at all (which Windows kinda needs for a good time) and at this point I didn't wanna agonise over that. Maybe it was the Elvanse kicking in but I'm just using my Windows dualboot for now lol

He tardado demasiado en descubrir que puedes escuchar emisoras de radio desde el reproductor MusicBee.
Y he activado el scrobble de last.fm para las emisoras, con algunas funciona y por lo general pilla bien los temas PERO también pilla los anuncios 🤣 -
Implemented submission of tags to my MusicBrainz Sync plugin for MusicBee! Also got the function working in a way where I don't need to keep rewriting code. Getting so close to completion now.

Finally got OAuth setup properly! I have to fix some UI-related problems but I'll do that tomorrow.

It's a bit funny that the reason I'm working on a plugin for MusicBee and coding it in Windows/Visual Studio, is so my workflow of transferring music metadata to MusicBrainz can be done on Linux lol.
