#AlexanderRudinBortniansky was born in #Hlukhiv (today in the Sumy region of #Ukraine) He came to St Petersburg as a choirboy & eventually became a pupil of #BaldassareGaluppi in St Peterburg & in Venice, spending 10 formative years in Italy before returning to Russia in 1779
