Aside from the fact that Hank 3 is arguably one of the best musicians of the millennium, he is an ambivalent figure – and wants to be just that. “I look like Abel, but I am raising Kain” – as the Crossroad songs explain to us: if you side with one side, you’ve lost; then contact is lost. You don’t always have to understand that, but you can listen to his song ‘Karmageddon’ – which is rather atypical for Hank 3. Perhaps your God isn’t justice. He’s certainly revengeful. Related to my last post post, I was listening to modern Shamisen , which I dearly love but I won't mention who because I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging that I am better than him. I was listening and I thought “he’s incredibly fast” and then I realized “his bachi is incredibly fast, but my left hand Sanxian is just as fast”. They are just different techniques. With a Shamisen, you hit every note with the bachi, on my Sanxian I’m playing with finger picks...

I’d like to share 2 #music recommendations that I am listening over and over again recently.
The first one is #swedish/ #german #jazz #pianist / #composer - Martin #Tingval. I started with Beat album from 2014 but as far as I can tell I love everything he plays - solo and with his Trio.
The other is #polish #pop/ #rock #musican - Krzysztof #Zalewski and his #MTV #Unplugged album featuring my favourite „Ptaki” and "Tylko nocą” songs.

Nach 20 Jahren spiele ich wieder in einer #Band und brauche etwas Nachhilfe: ich suche eine App, optimaler Weise kostenlos, mit der ich auf dem Tablet die Notenblätter anzeigen kann. Im Querformat zwei Seiten nebeneinander und handschriftliche Notizen wären cool, aber kein Muß.
