It has shrunk to a single room with not that many #MusicalInstruments on display. I probably own more instruments than you can see there without starting to pull out drawers.
Not many of the instruments are from the period they are supposedly representing.

I completely missed the memo when this intriguingly designed compact tenor #recorder came out last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz_QLNjFwSk Extremely clever trick that you can now close the endhole with the right thumb rather than with your knee as per traditional extended technique. This is because the bore does a U-turn and comes out just below the normal thumb position. But how to clean that U turn???? #ergonomicDesign #musicalInstruments
