  1. On the last weekend before Christmas, here is my only other 8-bit festive tune.

This #LoFiOrchestra performance presents the Carol of the Bells, in an arrangement based on Robert Buckley's rhapsodic "Let the Bells Ring".

  2. And here we are - the last day of the #MusicAdventCalendar.

I've saved my other Christmas tune for today - it is the Lo-Fi Orchestra's rendition of the Carol of the Bells, based on Robert Buckley's rhapsodic arrangement "Let the Bells Ring".

And with that I extend compliments of the season to all.

    (I'll boost again later)

  3. And so here we are. The penultimate #MusicAdventCalendar and it has to be the Lo-Fi Orchestra interpretation of Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture in full.

One day I will re-record this with party poppers at the end... for now we have Arduino LED "fireworks".

  4. Here's an early #MusicAdventCalendar today - The March to the Scaffold from Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.

I might sneak another bonus one in later :)

  5. And here's a bonus #MusicAdventCalendar simply because I quite like this one and was running out of slots, and, well, it's the weekend, so why not...

Another slightly random Rimsky-Korsakov piece this time from a ballet - the Procession of the Nobles from Mlada.

Some nice tone (brass) fanfares in this one :)

  6. Day 19 of #MusicAdventCalendar is a Lo-Fi, Instrumental Performance of John Miles' "Music".

"Music is my first love, and it will be my last. Music of the future and music of the past".

  7. Todays #MusicAdventCalendar takes a walk through Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition - at least the end of them anyway.

This is the Lo-Fi Orchestra's presentation of the Hut on Fowls Legs (Baba Yaga) and the Great Gate of Kiev.

This is based on Ravel's orchestration of the original piano work.

One day I'd like to go back and do some of the other movements...

  8. Just a short one today - The Lo-Fi Orchestra presents The Washington Post.

I don't know about you, but I get definite fairground organ vibes off this one!

  9. Another two-part piece for today's Lo-Fi Orchestra #MusicAdventCalendar

This is the first half of part 1 of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells.

Featuring MT32-Pi once again on Tubular Bells.

  10. And the bit I'm sure everyone's been waiting for... The Lo-Fi Orchestra presents Mr Blue Sky - the finale to ELO's Concerto for a Rainy Day.

    That's it for #MusicAdventCalendar today.

  11. Part three of my Lo-Fi Orchestra version of ELO's Concerto for a Rainy Day for #MusicAdventCalendar

Some great classic ELO strings in this one, in full lo-fi 8-bit glory :)

  12. Todays #MusicAdventCalendar is in four parts. It is the Lo-Fi Orchestra's interpretation of ELO's Concerto for a Rainy Day (feels quite apt at the moment over here...).

Look out for parts 2,3,4 at various points today :)
