For #ThrowbackThursday I've dug out an old favourite from 2012. In my old house, we kept various forms of poultry, including Muscovy ducks.
I'm not sure why there was a bucket of water in the garden, but this chap clearly approved. -

An unusual visitor at Lake Wallace (near Lithgow, NSW) today.
A pair of black Muscovy ducks.
My guess is they have wandered out of somebody's back yard in Wallarawangg and discovered a slice of heaven.
These two, if they don't die in winter, will probably set up home and start a small feral population.
EDIT: One of the pair, the female, has disappeared. Hoping for the best, but betting she has been grabbed (big, yummy eggs apparently) or run over (they're slow moving and idiots drive around here like a race track).

Back in a previous life I kept Muscovy Ducks, amongst other poultry. I always got a thrill when the ducks hatched out a brood. This lot are from 2010.

Visited our duck friends yesterday with @slomo . They are next to the sea, but this cutie (I've named her Vanilla) decided to take a bath inside their drinking water basin.
