    I can definitely see that as a #MnemonicDevice I would use for #encoding a message in #Morse code.
    However, I have a hard time seeing how I would use it for #decoding a message…
    Apart from #muscleMemory from repeated encoding with it?

    Yesterday was supposed to be gym day, but it completely slipped my mind. And by “gym day,” I mean dragging a foldable bench in from the patio, grabbing a couple of dumbbells, and giving myself a modest workout. I started this routine a couple of months ago, and honestly, I think I’ve already outgrown the dumbbells.

    Back in my fifties—when I was a young man—I was a regular at a real gym. There’s something remarkable about muscle memory. When you train, your muscles add nuclei, and even if you stop for years, those nuclei don’t just vanish. So when you start again, even after a decade or more, the infrastructure is still there, quietly waiting.

    I should probably move up to the next weight class in barbells… but I’m not keen on having a pile of them cluttering the sunroom.

  34. Am I the only one who keeps forgetting that these "newer" CLI tools come with better defaults? I mean, I keep passing unnecessary options to eza, fd, ip, httpie, ripgrep, etc. Damn it, my brain just doesn't have enough plasticity to tell my hands that the old complexity is no longer needed... Muscle memory firmware update failed. Please send help.

    Caution, Hubzilla users: (streams) may cause irritation.

    First of all: When you open an unread message, (streams) counts down five seconds before removing the message from the unread list. You will click it again.

    Worse yet: On (streams), you'll look for the settings in the channel menu, but they're in the app menu. And when you've used (streams) for a while, and you return to Hubzilla, you'll look for the settings in the app menu until you remember that they're in the channel menu.
