  2. 🦪🍷 #WineWednesday: Muscadet + Oysters

    "What grows together, goes together."

Muscadet comes from where the Loire meets the Atlantic – same waters nurturing the oyster beds.

Bone-dry, briny, mineral wine. Salty, delicate oysters. Perfect harmony.

Skip the lemon – the wine does the job.

#Muscadet is a bit like #Champagne without the bubbles. Crisp, not too fruity or high in alcohol, with some savoriness from aging on the #lees, a practice it has in common with Champagne. Even the best Cru Communale are still reasonably priced. But start with a classic like Domaine de l'Ecu "Granite".
If it's the #fizz you crave, less expensive #SparklingWine is made all over #France, usually called #Crémant. Try Crémant d'Alsace, Crémant de Loire, and Crémant de Limoux. #wine
