Interessant ist das hier im Oman keine großen Fischfänger unterwegs sind, sondern nur kl. Fischerboote. Oft wird das Netz auch nur in Strandnähe ausgebracht und vom Land eingeholt. Versehendlich gefangene Rochen, Schildkröten werden sofort wieder ins Meer zurückgebracht.
