Sure, #AlboPM is the best of three evils (#Labor, #LNP and #PHON) but there are alternatives if voters bother to think about it longer than a couple of minutes. And, I get your point about #SkyNews but would also point out it’s free to air everywhere. Here again, if voters were to think for more than a couple of minutes, the #Murdocracy wouldn’t have such a hold on their lazy brains.Sorry if I sound harsh, but choosing a lesser evil rather than working to get better representatives into #Parliament is just apathetic #democracy and there is an enormous price to pay for such #complacency.

I am starting to believe that a return to an ABC telling truth to power is never going to happen again. Best forget #ourABC and latch on to #IndependentNewsOutlets while ensuring we understand their biaises. That requires us all to put our thinking caps on though… not such bad thing.

“Trump, who recently survived an assassination attempt, has seen a 15-point surge in support since November 2020, with 36% of polled Australians now saying they feel “favourable” towards him.” (Amy Remeikis)Granted the poll sampling size was only about 1300 respondents and we don’t know much about them or their locations in greater Oz, but this 36% (an increase in previous polls) clearly show the power of the murdocracy and its bed-fellows in our monopolistic press. #ThisIsNotJournalism It also highlights the complete lack of critical thinking skills of these 36% (no apologies from me, just sadness and despair for our democracy).

@feather1952 I understand. My rant was similar in intent though it didn’t come out that way (such as rants are). My wish is for Journalists to do their bloody jobs… inform. Not just ‘play back the recording’. To be fair, it’s probably because their editors tell them what to do. We need a clean broom to go through the editorial boards, to break up the big news corporations and ‘let a hundred flowers bloom’ (to quote a famous man before chaos took over his country) #Murdocracy #msm #ThisisnotJournalism #auspol
