CW: Columbine school shooting reference
I never knew there was a true crime genre of music until today. Maybe this is the progression of murder ballads. This music video by Skynd is about the Columbine school shooting on April 20, 1999. The date is seared in my brain. I was a hardcore goth at the time, and after the shooting, there was a lot of hate and fear centred around goths.
This video is powerful and does not venerate the murderers. Instead, it shows us the victims' POV.
