South Carolina people: There’s just so much ambiguity I mean maybe he did it maybe he didn’t before all this happened they were so respected who could have known

We can understand why politicians distort facts and play to fear on #crime, but why does so much (not all) #journalism parrot and amplify this?
Better journalism would use the political attention as a motive to drill down, offer context and look for answers.
Beyond crime is the reality that ours is a violent culture. Consider our high numbers of #guns, #police killings, #truecrime obsession and the parade of cases like #Murdaugh which are about violence but are covered as entertainment.

Can someone explain to me why the American Media complex isn’t really covering the #ProudBoys trial that could literally be the trial that holds #Trump accountable for a coup against our democracy? Was Alex #Murdaugh more important? Is it time for us to pressure them?

2 consecutive life sentences for #Murdaugh. Judge gave him a chance to speak before sentencing, and Murdaugh again claimed he was innocent of murdering his wife & son. Just remarkable how wedded conmen are to maintaining their cons. Hope #conmen everywhere are paying attention.

Murdaugh sentenced for the rest of his natural life for the murders.

So what exactly was Alex #Murdaugh's motive to kill his wife and son then? The whole thing makes no sense to me.

Ok, wow. I see why him being found guilty was all over the US news. This was a TRIAL. And hooooboy, did a LOT of people around this family end up dead under strange circumstances. #Murdaugh Murder Trial https://youtube.com/watch?v=7mpWQrbIDIg&feature=share
