“The day after, we already had the army and police protecting our school. After that, I can hardly remember a moment when there was no police or army in front of Jewish schools and religious institutions.”
For Murciano’s generation, armed guards, security barriers, and military patrols were not extraordinary measures. They were part of everyday Jewish life."
