Las Fiestas de la Karmela de este año han cumplido otro reclamo del vecindario con un nuevo mural barrionalista en las escalinatas del Parque Javier de Miguel. Este mural es un gran homenaje a todas las personas que han colaborado y construido la Karmela desde hace 21 años.
El mural cuenta con varios rostros de personalidades de Vallekas, como Amós Acero, Prudencia Priego, Íñigo Pérez, Rober Pulpul de Ska-P, Ángeles Rodríguez Hidalgo "la Abuela Rockera", Wilfred Agbonavbare "El Gato de Vallekas", el barco de la Cofradía Marinera de Vallekas y muchos detalles del barrio.
El mural está frente a la rotonda ubicada en la intersección de la calle de la Diligencia y la calle de los Santos Inocentes.
