Given the context that #mulvad #vpn are tech-fascists, we just had a maybe crazy thought..

Their logo is a bit unusual, right? What does a mining mole have to do with having a vpn?

well, knowing they're tech fascists, which would mean their political position of supposed anti-government and anti-surveilance tech would make them something of 'moles' in anti-gov communities.

And how much tech fascists love data 'mining' for their tech..

Perhaps this is a sign they tried something similar to Palantir, and chose a logo that would signal to their right wing friends and benefectors (such as the ones their co-ceo was donating too), their true ambitions and perhaps actions?

So, given the severe security risks of a fascist being in their position at all. Let alone the potential implication of this theory. We really think someone knowledgable about this, should look into the possibility they have been saving the data from those who use their vpn- or even spying via their app whether or not its used- to be sold, or to assist the fascists.

Some people heeded the call for a while, only to quietly return to Big Tech later on.

Now, many have been jolted awake by our dependence on Big Tech, and another #quitday and other variations are gaining momentum.

I’m sure I’m forgetting a few, but there’s a European and open-source alternative for every American Big Tech and closed-source application.

What I’ve noticed is that many people are afraid of what they don’t know and therefore don’t dare to make the switch (completely).
(Some people just don’t give a damn and convenience is all that matters)

Any fear is unfounded, and if all of us switches en masse, Big Tech’s power will be quickly broken, and the development of alternatives will proceed much more smoothly and quickly.

Sommigen gaven daar even gehoor aan om later toch stilletjes terug te keren naar Big Tec.

Nu werden velen even wakker geschud door onze afhankelijkheid van Amerikaanse Big Tec en komt er weer een #doeidag en andere varianten op gang.

Persoonlijk ben ik die reis al jaren geleden begonnen.

Eventuele angst is ongegrond en als we met heel Europa massaal overstappen is de macht van Big Tec snel gebroken en verloopt de ontwikkeling van alternatieven veel soepeler en sneller.

My main Linux laptop decided to fall in a huge heap this morning and I had to do a complete reinstall onto a new machine - might as well treat myself. Not being able to use networking, keyboard or mouse was pretty limiting! Was a good chance to cleanup.

The great firewall of Oman was a bit limiting - couldn't get Mullvad, Signal etc without getting downloads via another remote system.

Now I'm back up and running faster than ever!
