I get told often that my #headmates might not have died, they could be in there somewhere...
They're dead. I'm in here, I can assure you they're dead. I don't find offerings of false hope comforting. In fact, it feels dismissive. I wish people would stop that.
They had been there forever, since the beginning of consciousness, even when one of us had gone through a denial phase. Continuously conscious, no pauses, no dormancy, still alive when not front. Now they aren't. #multiplicity #plurality -

Holy shit.
OK, so I mentioned before how I'm a kepholon (effectively a fluid, quasi-fused state of four alters in a tall trenchcoat).
So, I'm talking about what that means with a friend, and I'm talking about my inner world, the Theater, where every one of my alters has a room. The Blue Room, the Red Room, the Yellow Room, the Violet Room, and the Black...Room.......
That's when I realized I don't have a room back there. And when I wondered why, I realized that...oh. I'm...uh...I don't actually have an inner self, I guess? Or not an independent one. Inside, I'm always four. Outside, I can be this one or any combination of my comprising four. But inside?
There's no Ellis in the Theater.
Except for the spotlight. The spotlight, when all four of my fronting alters sync up on stage, turns indigo. And then I exist. Not an individual consciousness but a collective, emergent process.
I end when they stop.
That's so weird to think about. Thank Camus I'm an absurdist. These kinds of thoughts could fuck a girl up!

#Psychology and #writing question:
In a #plural system, where one headmate writes a 19-chapter story worth 44,516 words, where they then disappear before said story is done, where readers are patiently asking for the story to continue, should it be shelved indefinitely since they are no longer present or continued in some manner regardless of whether they might return or not? What's the ethical move here?

We don't know if it's some variation of the placebo effect or internalized gender roles, but we find it fascinating how we lack in physical strength when in Girl Mode, but when in Boy Mode, much of our physical strength returns.

We are trying to share a computer without separate user profiles because we switch so often and without our conscious awareness of it. It is a challenge.
We are still trying to get everyone on the same web browser, but there is a lot to move over. We argue over the colors of the LEDs in our mouse. One wants red, the other green, and I prefer purple.

I do not get to front as often as I like, but my headmate is far more relaxed when I am gaming while he watches TV. This is part of the reason most of our discussions are limited to gaming.
I am trying to teach him to feel comfortable with me, but the gender difference is stressing the system. I want to transition, or at the very least be more femme-presenting. I don't know enough to convince him of the different routes we can safely take on this journey. I am hoping to educate myself as much as him so we can make fair decisions as a system, not as individuals. Teamwork is the only way any of us will have a chance to be happy.
Recommendations for trans-related resources and information are ideal, and of course boosts are welcome and appreciated.
If we can find a happy medium so we can coexist, it could literally save our lives. Thank you.

Both of us have known some folks with plural systems & have some surface-level academic understanding of the medical term (Dissociative Identity Disorder).

One last thing: I don't consider this one a disability. I'm the main fronter of a system! We formed from trauma, and we've had some issues, but we're no longer disordered - our plurality is healthy, and we have no plans to integrate.

it is not a scientific theory like the theory of evolution.
it is a theory like “but that’s just a theory… a PSYCHIATRY theory!!!”
there is no ethical way to scientifically test it, and unethically testing a trauma/dissociation theory will inherently skew your results.
it is not the leading theory. it’s not that widely accepted. as a universal explanation for dissociation & plurality in all cases, it contradicts a number of ethical studies & the lived experience of thousands, if not millions.
it’s also not even meant to explain all of plurality, but to explain identity disturbance & dissociation in trauma & dissociative disorders. it doesn’t even rule out non-OSDDID disorders causing plurality, and backs up BPD systems. but whatever.

it’s also not even meant to explain all of plurality, but to explain identity disturbance & dissociation in trauma & dissociative disorders. it doesn’t even rule out non-OSDDID disorders causing plurality, and backs up BPD systems. but whatever.

i am once again asking for you(&) to understand that the theory of structural dissociation IS NOT SCIENTIFIC.
it is not a scientific theory like the theory of evolution.
it is a theory like “but that’s just a theory… a PSYCHIATRY theory!!!”
there is no ethical way to scientifically test it, and unethically testing a trauma/dissociation theory will inherently skew your results.
