this is the way. the requirement to hold down the mic button on screen is weird / unapproachable especially for some users. so the ability to just tap once to record makes more sense.

please can we have the option for all free users? thank you.

Sodela - jetzt reißt mir langsam die Geduld mit dem #threema Schrott - nicht nur das Nachrichten einfach nicht übermittelt werden - so reißt auch immer wieder die Webschnittstelle zum Handy ab. Ach und dann nuckelt die App überdurchschnittlich den Akku leer.

Ach ja ein #Multidevice bekommen die auch seit Jahren nicht hin bzw. nur für die Nutzer von #iOS welche eh kaum Threema nutzen.

So langsam denke ich sche... auf Zuckerberg und ich nutze mal Whatsapp wieder die bekommen das komischerweise hin - auch Signal ist hier schon einige Schritte weiter als Threema ...

Ach und frägt man bei Support nach bekommt man entweder schnippische Antworten oder die Antwort das sie auch nicht sagen können wann das Teil Multidevice fähig ist.

Fuck Facebook.

That deal for them to purchase Whatsapp never should have gone through.

sms/rcs sucks. It's not cloud based and it doesn't work across multiple devices or user profiles.

A random PSA -
a scheduled sms from one user profile on Android will only be sent out when you're logged into that specific user profile. For example, if you schedule an sms for 1pm the next day, and you're not logged in to that user profile by 1pm, it won't send until you do login, and in that case, it will automatically send *whenever* you do login. So for example, you get this type of thing. (Attached)

outlook is a solution over gmail as outlook would be a non-google email client that can be signed in accross multiple users without signing in to all google accounts. so i could say to mother, please email me at this outlook address. but email is so old. it's missing so many of the features of a modern chat platform like telegram/microsoft teams. theoretically, facebook messenger/whatsapp are options/alternatives to telegram/teams but i would prefer not to use them, but i guess i could. i could say whatsapp to mom. which works on some planes.

draft - the reason google docs kinda works a little bit with my dad (even though i'm the only one who types on it, he doesn't type, and i'm not sure if he actually reads it either) is because, when i was being a shill for telegram about a year ago, and talked about how i could edit messages, in terms of having a platform where i can edit messages with my father, google docs makes more sense because of version history. because, for my dad, he sort of deserves to see theoretical version history if he really wants to i guess right? but like, for a coworker or a manager, i don't really know if i'd want them to have version history right?
