Another photo update of the mugwort patch at my community garden, now several weeks after it was plowed. It's Exhibit A for why one should never, ever till mugwort. Here's the horror show at my community garden that I described several days ago. The "tilled" section has been plowed and looks weed free and inviting. But in reality the lawn of common mugwort that was previously there has just been broken up into thousands of little clumps, soon to reestablish in areas of the garden that previously didn't have it. And then, just like in past years, gardeners will abandon their plots because the weeds are too thick and the vegetables can't compete. #allotment #garden #gardening #weed #nodig #tilling #plowing #mugwort
