  1. All Android phones I’ve tested in the last year suffer the same plague: you take pictures, you hear the click but, afterward, the picture is not saved.

I’ve confirmed this with an old OnePlus 5 (Google Android), on a /e/os Pixel from @murena and on a #mudita Kompakt.

I don’t have explanations and this could be very frustraring…

  3. I stuck with the Sunbeam for a few months but wasn't what I was looking for. Text to speech required a subscription and I'm just too slow at keypad typing to have a conversation over text. I thought I'd give the Mudita Kompakt a try. It's more functional and I love e-ink displays. The crazy thing is that, two phones later, I've spent just over half what a flagship smartphone costs. #phone #mudita

What a gorgeous beach and a blessing to have nearby. I think it would have a positive impact on my day, too

Collaboration is my favorite thing, especially when you know you're carrying your weight rather than being dragged along (I've been in both places)

Looking forward to seeing the work when it's published

Here's to esoteric skill sets* and being the belle (beau?) of the ball!

*If you say a word to me, I can instantly tell you how many letters are in it, but I haven't figured out a use for that skill, never mind how to market it

Gardening is so nourishing in both the literal and metaphorical sense. I'd never heard of cowpeas beans but they look both decorative and yummy

3/4 lb of butter? So I'm guessing that's a french recipe?

    Looks delish!

Cutoffs often strike me as arbitrary but they do sometimes incentivize good behavior. I've seen 7 doctors in the last four weeks. Gotta get 'em all in before deductibles reset

Congrats on beating the deadline and thanks for taking some weight off the grid

The great thing about #mudita is that it's multiplicative or exponential or some other math term I can't think of or invent

I can enjoy you enjoying your friend's DMing success -- is that meta mudita? I'm glad everyone had a good time

I write lefty, bowl lefty, play tennis lefty, but do most everything else right-handed. Imagining it in my head, I can't decide which hand reaches for a frisbee (and I don't remember which hand I used as a kid)

I think it's fantastic that you've taught your right arm to do what you want it to do, and disc golf sounds like fun. I'm not going to age into golf or pickleball but I think disc golf could be a thing for me. Thanks for the inspiration!

There are few things I love as much as a kitchen that smells of homemade chicken soup

Sign me up for a turkey beast and sides, the more festive the better!

The one thing you can't make is a new old friend. That plus serendipity and hugs sounds like a perfect day

First day of snow is fun, right? Somewhere around day three, though, it's a bit more AYFKM (unless you live in a ski town)

Glad you're finally getting a thaw

TIL that guinea pigs have a crest. Having one's love be let in is heart melting

  17. @kims you're ready restoring my faith in humanity right here tbh 🙇‍♀️🤯

I don't love doing PT but my physio is a gem. Most physios are. I find that a lot of specialties don't take pain seriously enough, but I've never had to persuade a physiotherapist that "this hurts"

Glad the advice was on point

You found a Theatre of Magic pinball machine in the wild? That's wild, as I don't see many of those any more. My first ever machine was a Bally (Strikes and Spares) and I'm still nostalgic for their playfields

I've got half a dozen machines here at home and I'm wondering if I can trade two of them for a Godzilla. (Not the Medieval Madness or the TAFG -- I'm never letting go of those -- but maybe The Simpsons and The Twilight Zone)

    Did you love it?

Anyone who's been through the trial and error of "which combo of these pills will effectively treat my pain" knows the relief of finding something that works

Just reading that makes my impinged shoulder hurt a little less. I'm so happy for you

I like to think of my less taut and scarred skin as evidence of a life well lived. I'm glad the exercise is paying off and you're feeling good. Slow and steady wins the race

Okay, "Nearly Departed" is a fantastic name, but also, what a great idea for an app. I'm acknowledging all the acknowledgements

    #mudita

  23. @kims that deserves a reply, what a great idea!

Today I took the advice from the physiotherapist, and the pain didn't increase, like we agreed.
