I'm starting to like the joke "I am lack of healthy neurons so had to print one! And on the right it's neuron before start of SM treatment" XD

But no, Sclerosis Multiplex do not erases neurons, but damages the protective sheaths around neurons (myelin).

I've just had my monthly dose of Kesimpa. It wasn't so bad this time, and usually I just get really stressed out about the injection, which ends up making me feel worse. Today was better!

Po 6 latach remisji (wstrzymania) choroby dostałom do kolekcji kolejne dwa ogniska chorobowe, na szczęście nieaktywne, czyli mogłom nawet nie odczuć ich pojawienia się. Może to sprawiły te upały ostatnie :/

No ale tego powodu rozpoczynam kolejny, nowy lek, nowy też w Polsce: Kesimpta (ofatumumab).

Wydaje się spoko, bo zastrzyki będą co miesiąc, a i skutków ubocznych ma ogromnie mniej niż poprzedni lek Tecfidera (codziennie brane kapsułki): obajwy grypo-podobne po zastrzyku (podobnie jak po szczepionkach), czy zakażenie dróg moczowych, oprócz standardowego obniżenia odporności zgodnie z planem leczenia.

Kłirowe wojownicze stwardnienia rozsianego

W Rawiczu odbywa się m. in. całodobowy maraton sztafetowy wokół Plant (~2.8km, historyczne wały obronne starówki).
Udało mi się pokonać 20km w ciągu w sumie 2h, z przerwami 15min i 30min.
Czemu biegam? Pyta się mnie. Żeby sobie afirmować, że SM nie jest końcem świata. Kiedyś mogę przestać biegać, i mam tą potrzebę nadrobienia osiągnięć, kiedy jeszcze mogę. SM z natury wpływa negatywie na ciało, ale mam wrażenie że depresja z tego powodu jest gorsza. Wspierajcie swoje osoby sm-owe 🖤

I'm going to start the #hnpp tag as it's not here yet. I have it. It stands for Hereditary Neuropathy with Liability to Pressure Palsies. It's a rare degenerative neurological condition, closely related to #multiplesclerosis.

It means I'm losing my limbs, my legs are around 30% and arms about 50%. My spine is at around 50% now hence needing a wheelchair. I hope to raise awareness and allow others to find me here!
