CW: Official - homelessness doesn't exist in NZ
The Ministry of Social Development has released a 'Tactical Plan for Rough Sleepers' to brief regional managers.
The document refers to 'dispelling myths', claims it's a "narrative" that hundreds of New Zealanders live without shelter and that there is "no evidence" to validate that.
The report's author is not named, but while MSD is back-pedalling fast, this is an indication of the level of ignorance affecting officials under the Luxon government.

Amerikaanse farma-gigant #MSD krijgt jaarlijks honderden miljoenen uit het Innovatiefonds; een speciale regeling om innovatie en werkgelegenheid te stimuleren, maar in plaats daarvan heeft MSD zijn medicijnonderzoek en -productie juist naar andere landen verplaatst.
De rest van het fonds gaat naar #ASML en fucking #BookingCom

Gestern bei den Ostsächsischen Eisenbahnfreunden in #löbau gewesen. Und die EPROMs von deren DDR-Fahrkartenautomat ( #MFA ) und Schalterterminal ( #MSD ) ausgelesen. Ein weiterer Schritt unseren mittelfristig wieder in Betrieb nehmen zu können. Vielen Dank da noch einmal an diese und besonders an Andreas der das möglich gemacht hat. NZ's Ministry of Social Development will use 'basic AI' to make sure jobseekers meet their obligations. The Social Services Amendment Bill "vastly expands the decisions that can be made by automated systems to include sanctions."
MSD says automated decision-making will *not* be used to decline benefits. A human will tick that box.
The Sallies & the Law Society have both called for the clause to be scrapped.
