CW: MRT
Kleine Bemerkung am Rande: Die Röhre (Magnetom Free.Max von Siemens) war halboffen (also am Kopf offen), hat einen Durchmesser von 80 cm und das hat trotz meines Venus-von-Willendorf-Körpers easy und bequem gepasst. Habe es ohne Medis geschafft (wurde eh nicht angeboten). Es gab Licht & Musik. Die Geräusche waren dennoch schlimm, irrationale Panikattacken da - aber es war deutlich erträglicher als bei früheren Erfahrungen mit dunklen, engen Röhren wie Gräber. Und: Es war deutlich kürzer!

Geschafft. Bin zuhause. Mir ist ziemlich dizzy und zittrig. War ganz dolle tapfer und will jetzt ein Sandwich und ein Eis.

Previously on Midlife Crisis Crossover: It’s that time again! This weekend my wife Anne and I attended the fifth edition of Fan Expo Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in the suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. In 2022 they arose from the ashes of the late Wizard World Chicago, which we attended eleven times, and have expended tremendous efforts to maintain the previous showrunners’ geek-marketed traditions to keep luring in longtime fans and newcomers alike... …and for us it meant another round of photo ops with actors from movies and TV shows we’ve enjoyed. Longtime MCC readers know jazz hands are our thing, if we feel it’s worth a shot to ask, and if the stars are amenable. Sometimes they don’t, and that’s fine! They’re adults, we’re adults, and we accept it — their image, their choice. But it’s a lot cooler when they do. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but this year FEC was crippled by the worst photo-op complications we've ever experienced for a show of its size within the past fifteen years. […] -

ich habe mir die Daten in meine private Cloud geladen, damit sowas nicht passiert. Dann kann ich sie auf einen USB-Stick laden und zum Termin mitnehmen. Den Befund dazu gab es von meiner Hausärztin ausgedruckt 😂 -

Die Bilder für den Befund sind wohl dennoch so lala ausreichend bis auf die Abruptbewegung von mir auf den letzten Aufnahmen, weil ich dachte, jetzt springt mein Implantat doch noch aus dem Druckverband raus ... 😶 -
MRT und ich mit zwei Cochlea Implantaten am Kopf. 🥴
Mit Druckverband, extra in der Klinik von MTA Fachkräften der Audiologie im Hörzentrum angelegt, sah ich aus wie so Vorstufe zur Mumie.
Während der vibrationsreichen MRT Orgelmusik (konnte sie nicht hören, nur ziemlich nah spüren) rotierten die Magnete im Kopf mächtig und kopfschmerzverursachend, und es wurde sehr sehr sehr warm am Kopf. 😵💫

Arzt will eine Kanüle in die Vene im Armwinkel setzen fürs Kontrastmittel.
Stille und Stirnrunzeln beim Arzt.
Ich guck ihn fragend an.
Er: "Ist explodiert."
Ich: "Wie, die Kanüle?!"
Er: "Nein, die Vene."
und setzt an eine nächste mögliche Stelle am Arm an ...

Got #MRI / #MRT scanned with my #RFID implant today :D
Didn't feel anything besides the occasional slight twitch when the program changed.
After the scan I moved my hand through the field a bit - nothing. Moving faster/waving I felt some pulses/stronger twitches, funny feeling^^It should still be working but I checked of course. I was able to read the HF side (cause that's #NFC ), can't check the LF side with my phone.
