These 24 épisodes were unnecessary long. What's the point of getting to that number if you have to fill the last 6 with 20 min of flashbacks and incredibly long death scenes?
The historical period it depicts is the only aspect that kept me going.
They put on an incredible cast, with one of the best Korean kisser in the industry (#AhnYeonSeok), the best female bad cop actor (#KimMinJung) and there isn't a single kiss scene????

@EllenInEdmonton @jcurries I hadn't started my (ultimately abortive) watch of #MrSunshine when I watched CiH, so didn't realise her role in it was a riff on that one.Except, she LIVES😀 - her character does get a pretty note-perfect ending

I couldn't force myself to continue Check In Hanyang. I loved her in my rewatch of #MrSunshine, and she was also amazing in #TheDevilJudge, as was #JiSung, who I'd like to see more of.

@dnkboston @s1m0n4 oh, definitely, all netflix episodes are far too long. The final episode of #MrSunshine was also well over 100 minutes, fwiw. Seeing the way the episode length kept growing as the series went on was another factor that caused me to drop, while they were ONLY around the 70 minute mark

VERY aptly, my attempt to watch all of #kDrama #MrSunshine proved as futile as the liberation struggle it portrayed in geological time. Seeing the VERY yummy YYS beaten and bloody in ep 14 was the "Nope!" moment. I'm old, life is short, the Drama is looooooooong, ergo bye-bye 6.6/10 though

Into ep 11 of #kDrama #MrSunshine and though I know romance is not the primary focus, not making these two an STP was a huge wasted opportunity.

The MDL review I linked to expressed many of my concerns (and compliments), but YYS's character and performance have been a positive takeaway. Much of my lack of interest in him was due to his lead role in another KES #kDrama , the one I call #DullAndSnoozy I will likely endure #MrSunshine to the tediously far-off end and if I do, YYS will be half the reason why😀
