Picked up The Girl With All The Gifts by M.R. Carey a little while back on a whim, not knowing anything about the author or the book, and not knowing that it had been made into a movie too. Started reading it a couple of days ago and oh yes, it's absolutely captivating. Not the sort of genre I normally read, but the writing is so good, so fresh it's almost a genre all of its own anyway. I'll have to hunt the film down after I read it.

Luin tämän viime yönä, kun ei tullut uni silmään. Tänään katsoin leffaversiosta, että miltä ne lopun sienikasvustot näyttävät. Olihan ne elokuvassakin hienot, mutta omissa mielikuvissa ne olivat sumuisen toismaailmallisia ja kauheita ja se muutti kirjan lopun vielä hienommaksi. Se on sellainen hauntingly beautiful -loppu (varsinkin kirjassa). En ole sellaista ennen tavannut zombietarinoissa.
