"Pile Burn for Wildfire Safety in Topanga Canyon Postponed Due to Weather Conditions
The planned pile burn scheduled for April 17, in the northern Topanga Canyon area by LA County Fire Department and MRCA has been postponed for safety due to weather conditions (low humidity, windy). A confirmed date and time for the pile burn later this month, pending suitable weather and air quality conditions, will be announced at least 72 hours in advance.
This project remains part of ongoing wildfire risk reduction efforts led by the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA)."

Oooh, Malibu is suing the local conservation district over their trails. (citing wildfires, but they have always been unhappy about any hiking trails in Malibu, afraid it will "attract the wrong kind of people").
