Sanchiz et al, 2023: Air sampling at Madrid gay clubs found #monkeypox virus (#MPXV) DNA in sex rooms and bar areas. 57% of 7 samples collected at the peak incidence of #MPX had >100 genomes per meter cubed. Samples were not tested for infectiousness.
