  3. The last few days have brought a mix of rain and sunshine to Göttingen. From an office window, #mpsgoettingen scientist Walter Goetz was able to catch this lovely shot of a double #rainbow above the institute. Many thanks for sharing! @[email protected]

  4. Using the #InouyeSolarTelescope and computer simulations, researchers from #NationalSolarObservatory, #mpsgoettingen and #HighAltitudeObservatory reveal tiny vortices on the Sun’s surface that have never been seen before.
    They are interpreted as signs of Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities.
