I made it a Movie Monday, and I went on an epic odyssey to see the movie EVERYONE is talking about: MINIONS & MONSTERS! Just kidding... The Odyssey in IMAX, of course. It was really good! Set aside some time!

My first Jacques Demy, but certainly not my last. Umbrellas of Cherbourg is almost unbearably charming and bittersweet.

Hell yeah letโs keep #MovieMonday going with Bio-Dome. Another classic from my youth that I still quote regularly.

During my absence, I am happy to say that I did a little more #reading and movie watching than usual. Well...I finished the book and movie I'd started, at any rate. ๐
And the movie I watched was Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3... I enjoyed it very much, even though the stuff about Rocket's past both saddened and infuriated me.๐คฌ๐ญ

My flabbers be gasted!๐ฒ
MMD--who is *not* a movie watcher--just told me she wants to see "that Lilo & Stitch movie" because it looks adorable!
I almost never suggest films to her because I know she'll think they're just...eh.๐คทโโ๏ธ
But she *wants* to see this one...even tho it's Disney & animated, Disney. So of course I said YES! But first...she must watch the original. Am I right?

I have begun my annual immersion into ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ leading up to The Big Day. (aka ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐ฅ๐ พ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ!๐๐งโโ๏ธ๐ซ)
Though I will confess to two things:
1 - I started a bit early--like in August๐
2 - I eased into it with not-quite-horror, but mystical, magical, and paranormal all the same๐ปHere's a list of what I've watched so far! And, yes, some of these--in fact, most of these--are re-watches.๐
How about you?

That's a little too creative, even for me.๐ณ

On this day in 1988, Emilio, Kiefer, Lou, and Charlie galloped onto the big screen and made being an outlaw look so rad!
๐ตโก๏ธ This classic takes me back to a time when all we needed was a gritty Western, some unforgettable one-liners, and a whole lot of attitude.
And letโs not forgetโtotally accurate history lesson, right? Still a Billy the Kid expert, no big deal.
Who else is itching to dust off their VHS collection? ๐ฅ๐

I cannot get enough of this movie right now!๐ฟ๐คฉ
Why did I wait so long to watch it?๐ตโ๐ซ I do that all the time, but rarely want to kick myself for not watching something sooner.
How about you? Do you love Gods of Egypt as much as I do?
And do you think they'll make a sequel?๐ค -
Holy crap! I just finished watching The Exorcism of God and found it both creepy and disturbing.๐ฑ But well worth a view !๐
Has anyone else seen it?

And the first new-to-me horror flick of the season: Prey For the Devil.โ๏ธ I don't know what it is about demonic possession movies, but I really enjoy them, and this one was decent.
Are you enjoying any spooky movies yet this season?๐ฟ๐

Anybody whoโs been married knows how stressful it can be. But the honeymoon itself isnโt necessarily a relaxing break from the wedding: the Israeli film โHoneymoodโ tells the story of a couple facing chaos after tying the knot. https://momentmag.com/in-honeymood-wedding-night-balagan/
