I worked with NOVA Web Coop to launch a new site for Uber, Lyft and other independent drivers unionizing in Colorado.
We used #LibreOrganize , a #FreeSoftware web platform built for unions.

Check it out!

Does anyone have insight into #Jitsi governance? I couldn't find anything documented.
Also, what is the deal with 8x8 the company that fully funds Jitsi?
It's nice that the project is open-source but the funding source and who it is actually accountable to is really important to get answers on if we're recommending it as a #MovementTech tool.

#LibreOrganize is a #FreeSoftware website and member portal for unions and other movement groups.
I tried installing it locally and it only took me a couple of minutes to get up and running. Really impressed with this project so far.
Here's a video I made showing the install process.

#FightFor15 fast food workers are on strike, but sharing their stories online instead of gathering in public.
I see this as an important shift in terrain that us movement techies should adjust to.
how do we show up for this moment?

Riseup, a radical tech collective now has a VPN for censorship circumvention, location anonymization and traffic encryption.
People can use it for free (though donations are welcome)
