77 yrs ago #OTD at Castle Recording Lab studio D in Nashville singer #HankWilliams signs away 50% of his #SongPublishing to session producer #FredRose's accountant son #WesleyRose of #AcuffRose. Ol Hank's very first 1946 recordings would be released as 4 #78RPM discs in early 1947 by #SterlingRecords. Williams would soon #MoveitOnOver to the fledgling MGM label, record some 220 more songs in a short, but busy career that ended badly in the back of a #Cadillac at age 29 on New Year's Day in 1953. The car he died in and blue #NudieSuit he wore when he died are on exhibit at the #museum dedicated to his life in #MontgomeryAlabama
