I love the textures in this #photo: #mourvedre #grapes, coloring up nicely; shaggy brown #vines; green #leaves showing the first signs of autumn colors. The #2023harvest hasn't started yet at #TablasCreek, but it's imminent.

Next is #Mourvedre. We're still not expecting it to come in before mid-October, since it takes longer than the others between this stage and being ready to pick. These clusters are fairly typical, and I'd estimate it's 30% through overall. 3/9

Well #Bandol is the only appellation in France where #Mourvèdre is the primary variety in reds and rosés. Favorite producers are Tempier and Pibarnon. Find Clos Cibonne rosé to try the rare #Tibouren grape and an interesting #elevage process. Try the wines of Château Simone (all three colors) from the tiny appellation of #Palette.
