It is a freaking glorious late-summer-in-the-mountains day! It started overcast after more than 24 straight hours of rain, but well before noon the sun broke through and now it is blue skys with a few feathery clouds. #Weather forecast is for more like this over the next few days.

I took a day off from working on the master bath remodel yesterday and worked on a coding project instead. I also harvested herbs from my garden and started to dry them.

Last night the temperature dropped all the way down to 35F/2C. Not unknown for late September around here, but not normal either. Today was beautiful and sunny, but it never got above 67F/20C. Tomorrow promises more of the same.

I plumbed my 'water control panel' in the utility room and tested for leaks, none found so far. (I still need to check for leaks under the floor.) It's not completely done, I still need to enclose it and put a door panel over it and such.

We need to get a few top up items without having to drive that far, from a more local store, and have some money left for car charging. Can anyone offer some $$$? Some of this is also for essential saline electrolyte drinks to treat @Kuniti_shino 's POTS, a syndrome in which the body gets rid of electrolytes it needs to keep and so needs them topping up pretty much every day, otherwise it becomes very weak, dehydrated and sleepy.

It snowed all over the place in BC last night, not right here at my place but possible later this week. Lessons learned: keep those fragile seedlings double covered. Keep those chicks warm. Keep those snow tires on the vehicles. Take nothing for granted. While this is not that unusual for BC, our weather patterns ARE changing.
