“Graphics” here refers to the ability of ESC sequences to change colors in the Linux terminal.
“Sound” means the hardware beeper or the notification sound of a desktop manager.

btw I participated in the Demolab workshop at #Mountainbytes 2026. While it is not much, I am quite happy to have finished a little Demo with #Godot in only two days :blahaj: Many thanks to @nr4 for providing the music!

I have repeatedly heard that COM files and 16-bit DOS are used for 256-byte size coding.
How does this work on 64-bit Linux? The ELF64 header would require two-thirds of the space. Pointers are four times larger than on 16-bit systems....

Last weekend, the MountainBytes demo party 2025 took place in Switzerland. The "Amiga User Group Switzerland" took part for the first time with a specially created demo and wrote a German-language report about the event. The demo Spreadpoints by Spreadpoint standing out from an Amiga perspective, taking first place in the "Oldschool and Alternative Realtime" category:
