Had to ride my bike hard chasing the setting sun to reach the Biesbosch, a wetlands nature reserve, before dark, because it was way too hot to ride earlier in the day. Made it. #motorcycles #motorrijden #motorfietsen #motorrad

Lesson learned. Yesterday for the first time I had to run the Suzuki Bandit on fuel reserve.
From the moment the fuel warning light comes on, it'll do maybe 15-20km (1 liter). That was less than I expected.
So for a brief moment while decelerating I wondered if I was losing some power, but by the time I reached the traffic light, the engine had already died.
After turning on fuel reserve, you have another 4.5 liter to burn, so another 50km.

Okay, I can't seem to change the oil filter without it leaking quite a bit. So next time I am going to use the side stand and not the mid stand to see if more oil is going to go through the gearbox drain hole because the bike is leaning over.
Now let's check the torque specs of the screws... never will remember those.
