Just read several articles today where the #motorcyclist died from a wreck, and "he was not wearing a #helmet."

We are told to "Watch for motorcycles" repeatedly, but you have to do YOUR PART also.

Please, if you're going to ride, be safer about it.

So #motorcycle riders of the fediverse… what kind of minimal dashcam would you recommend? I have been riding since the early 1980s without any “incidents” on paved public roads (though I’ve hade my share of falls on dirt tracks while competing in rallies in a previous life). I would prefer a reliable, battery operated dashcam that can last my 40 minute ride to work (where I can recharge). That footage was from the akaso ek7000 but it looks bulky and clumsily mounted and probably will attract attention if left on the bike when parked. Any suggestions for a budget of around 200$? Tending towards insta360 go 3 - slightly beyond budget. Anyone use iPhones as dashcam without damaging the phone?

I'd like to nominate for the #Darwin award the 200 or so #motorists who tonight drove past (nearly over) a #motorcyclist who was lying on the ground after a serious #roadaccident on #TulseHill #London. Clearly no fucks given about human life, they just beeped and drove round over the pavement, with debris everywhere, cos the guy dared delay their journey. I had heard the horrible noise of crushed metal but thought no one had been injured from the way #cars were driving thereafter. I was wrong.
