Finally the rain stopped. I had been getting antsy. Moth Week started two day ago, and I hadn't caught a single moth yet. It looks like the next couple of nights will be good as well, so Djursland will hopefully fill my coffer (memory card) with wondrous moths.
And Spiders.

I'll need a vacation, to recover from this vacation 😆

I noticed a funny thing that I made sure to mention to a fellow bat conservation colleague.
I always bring a borrowed bat detector, and for the first hours of mothing mosquitoes are eating me alive. As soon as the detector starts going of the amount of mosquitoes drop sharply. Whether it is because the bats gobble them up really fast or because the skeeters seek cover, I don't know, but it is points in favour of bats as efficient pest management.
