The Mother Orange Tree is the oldest living orange tree in Northern California. Planted in 1856, and transplanted twice from its original location. My Dad moved from Michigan to California in 1954. He loved the fact that he could grow citrus fruit in our backyard. So, we always had orange and lemon trees in our backyard and fresh citrus fruit right from the tree. #citrus #MotherOrangeTree #GoldCountry #Oroville #California #ButteCounty #history #landmark
