Several years ago, my mom got this fun little gadget for me. She thought we might be able to add something a little extra to our music. But I wasn't able to figure out how to incorporate it with our songs. I wished I could have made it work and added a little more fun along with her tenor (four-string) guitar.

It was 18 years ago this month that my mom, Patricia and I sang at The Golden Lion Hotel on 'open mic' in Anchorage that evening and our late cousin Ramona and her husband Jerry filmed the whole thing.
I'm so grateful they took the time to be there to see us sing, bringing their camera to film and gave us this video footage that I cherish of those times.

I took these photos a long time ago in my grandma's yard at Moose Creek.
A few years later, I wrote a song about a rainbow that I saw as I was driving up Moose Creek hill. The words came pouring out as I was heading into Palmer from my grandma's house. I started to sing it while driving. As soon as I got back home, I wrote the words down.
My song "Colorful Rainbow" is track 4 on our Little Blue Suitcase CD.

#Fisk is populated with some very brilliant local comics/ talents, and people with what i call “good values”.
I love the BEIGE-NESS of Fisk.
Kitty Flanagan is rather dry and dead pan and, okay, sacrilegious.
an even greater thing about Fisk is it’s on free to air public tv in australia. I hope you get to see season 2 soon.
Denise Scott (who plays Leslie in Season 1 ep 5 of Fisk) is currently appearing in a remake of another australian sitcom classic #MotherAndSon you might enjoy.
sadly, when i investigated how to get a free trial of a streaming service to watch #Deadloch i was asked for details of my amazon account and that was a bridge too far. i believe people when they rave about Deadloch, but i doubt i’ll see it anytime soon. Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, the brains behind Deadloch, are inspiring and clever people, also with awesome values. Previously, they gave us #GetKrack!n, their own version of morning TV /breakfast shows
(worth a look if you haven’t seen it, but can).

Sorting through photos my son and I took at softball yesterday. Between us, we took nearly 800 shots across 3 games.
I love taking photos. It’s the going through them that kills me. And because I don’t get paid for these ones (it’s our club, our teams), I don’t do a full process of them, just a basic “is this good enough to show people?” kind of sort. If I was being paid, I’d have to do all the colour correcting and cropping and all that other fun stuff that people expect from professional photographers which is even more work.
