On Monday my mother was granted leave by a high court judge to have her case heard against Cork City Coroner who refused an inquest into baby William’s death. A medical report by a leading neonatologist said that in 1960 William couldn’t have been diagnosed with what it says on his death Cert and in his opinion the baby was neglected. #JusticeForWilliam #Bessborough #MotherAndBabyHomes

MWB Two Ltd are applying for planning again via Cork City Council No:2241568 for apartments at #Bessboro that will overlook a very peaceful place that has become the unofficial memorial for the women & children that died. Children were buried in this area and others but the Govt has refused to do a thorough investigation that may help identify the burial place of 859 missing babies. #bessborough #MotherAndBabyHomes #BessboroBabies

It’s my brother’s anniversary today. He died from neglect but that is not reflected in the #MBHCOI’s Report. In 1994 my mother was lead to the graveyard at #Bessboro & told her baby was buried there. In 2019 we find out that he was buried in a famine graveyard with 30,000 other souls with not one marker. We have no idea on this 5 acre site where he is. #MotherAndBabyHomes

#introduction: In 1994 I moved from London to Cork, this event caused my mother to tell me that she had a baby in the Sacred Hearts Convent at #Bessboro in 1960.She explained how she nearly died &how her healthy baby William became poorly. My mothers pleas to get him medical help were ignored &he consequently died at 6 weeks.The fight for #Justice for William& the other children that died goes on.The burial place of 859 #BessboroBabies is unknown. #MotherAndBabyHomes #MyRecordsMyRight #Survivors
